Psychological Freedom in Schools
Teaching Young People the Language of Healthy Relationships.
PFF provides age-appropriate educational workshops and programs that help students develop the awareness, communication skills, and personal agency they need to navigate relationships, boundaries, and conflict — before unhealthy patterns take hold.
What We Do
Prevention Through Education.
The Psychological Freedom Foundation brings educational programming to schools, youth organizations, and student-support environments. Our workshops are designed to give young people a clear, accessible framework for understanding their own boundaries, recognizing unhealthy relational dynamics, and communicating with respect and self-awareness.
This is not therapy or clinical intervention. It is education — the kind that gives students language for experiences they may not yet have words for, and tools they can use in real relationships, right now.
We work with school administrators, educators, counselors, student-support professionals, parents, and youth program leaders to bring this education into the environments where young people spend most of their time.
"When young people have language for what they're experiencing in relationships, they are better equipped to make choices that reflect their own values — not just the pressure of the moment."
— LaBrulante, Founder of PFF

What We Teach
Education That Builds Awareness and Skill
PFF's school programs are organized around the concepts and skills that matter most for young people developing their sense of self, their relationships, and their place in the world.
Healthy Boundaries
What boundaries are, why they matter, and how to recognize, establish, and communicate them — with peers, adults, and in digital spaces.
Personal Agency
Understanding that you have the right to make choices about your own life, your body, your relationships, and your responses — and that this right belongs to everyone.
Respectful Communication
How to express needs, disagreements, and limits clearly and respectfully — and how to listen in a way that honors the other person's experience.
Peer Dynamics
Recognizing the patterns that show up in peer relationships — social pressure, exclusion, loyalty conflicts, and the difference between influence and manipulation.
Conflict Awareness
Understanding what conflict is, where it comes from, and how to respond to it with awareness rather than reaction.
Emotional Responsibility
Learning to recognize and take ownership of your own emotional responses — without suppressing them or directing them at others in harmful ways.
Healthy Relationships
What healthy relationships look like in practice — the qualities, behaviors, and patterns that support mutual respect, trust, and genuine connection.
Self-Awareness
Developing the capacity to notice your own patterns, reactions, and beliefs — and to understand how they shape your experience and your relationships.
Our Approach
Age-Appropriate. Accessible. Grounded in Respect.
Prevention-focused
We believe that education is the most powerful tool for prevention. PFF programs are designed to build awareness and skills before unhealthy patterns become entrenched.
Not clinical or diagnostic
PFF does not provide therapy, diagnosis, or clinical intervention. Our programs are educational — designed to inform, build awareness, and develop communication skills.
Developmentally appropriate
Programs are adapted for different age groups and school contexts — from middle school through high school and into young adult programs.
Grounded in self-awareness
Every program is built on the principle that awareness is the foundation of change. We help students see their own patterns — with curiosity, not judgment.
Respectful of personal responsibility
We teach young people that they have both rights and responsibilities in their relationships — and that understanding both is essential to genuine freedom.
